GYMNASTICS COACHING

'The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.'

Here you will find interesting moments from my archive as a gymnastics coach. I believe that gymnastics is one of the best sports in the world, and this is the reason why I have used my skills and time to prove and outline the numerous health-related benefits, which gymnastics provides for children.

Throughout the years I coached hundreds of children, many of whom took part in club, school, regional and national gymnastics competitions in Bulgaria and the United Kingdom. Between 2008 and 2012, I worked for the biggest gymnastics club in Bulgaria (Levski G.C.). From 2013 to 2020, I worked for the Elite Gymnastics Academy in North London, and I also worked as a gymnastics teacher at St Edmund's Primary School in London from January 2015 until July 2018. Overall, my students and I participated in different sports events in order to popularise the sport of gymnastics, and we won medals and certificates from many competitions. Some of those significant moments from my career as a gymnastics coach can be seen below. For a period of 10 years (2013-2022), I also provided personal gymnastics coaching as self-employed here in London under the name of my personal brand STK SPORT. In 2022, I founded Chelsea Gymnastics Academy based on the vast experience I build throughout the years.

 

June 2022 - PRESENT

Chelsea Gymnastics Academy, London, UK

I founded Chelsea Gymnastics Academy in June 2022 based on my vast practical and academic experience of 20 years in the sport of gymnastics. Chelsea Gymnastics is the successor of my sole trade gymnastics coaching business called STK SPORT (which operated in London between 2013 and 2022). Chelsea Gymnastics brings gymnastics to the community in homes and studios in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London. Our Head Office is registered at Niddry Lodge in Kensington, London W8.

 

 

January 2015 - July 2018

St Edmund's Primary School, London, UK

Between 2015 and 2018, I worked at St Edmund's Primary School in London, where I taught general gymnastics, once a week, to boys and girls from Year 1 to Year 6. I was featured twice in the school newsletter, and the Year 1 and Year 2 gymnastics school teams won 3rd places at the Borough Gymnastics Festival, which was their best finish at that time! I also volunteered as a Physical Education Assistant at this school for those 3.5 years, and some of the children participated in the control group for my PhD research.

 

 

January 2013 - December 2020

Elite Gymnastics Academy, London, UK

I worked at the Elite Gymnastics Academy CIC in London for 8 years (January 2013 - December 2020), where I coached pre-school, general and artistic gymnastics. My gymnasts and I participated in different sport events throughout the years, and won medals and certificates from club and regional competitions.

 

 

January 2008 - December 2012

Levski-Spartak Gymnastics Club, Sofia, Bulgaria

I coached gymnastics for a period of 5 years at one of the biggest Bulgarian gymnastics clubs - GC Levski Spartak 08 - Sofia. My gymnasts and I participated in many sports events and gymnastics competitions all over the country.
