HERE WE GO AGAIN
2019 London Championships

And here we are in 2019, back on the Rings... performing the Iron Cross with an eye-catching blue new leotard. This was my fourth time competing at the London Regional Championships.

In April, I was admitted as a member of the Royal Society of Biology, and I moved my Registered Scientist status (RSci) with them as a professional body of the Science Council in the UK.

I published five peer-reviewed articles as a lead author or co-author, in addition to two articles in conference proceeding books.

Perhaps, my biggest achievement for 2019 was my participation at the top European congress in sports science, ECSS Congress. I presented our research at the parallel sessions of the ECSS Congress in Prague (Czech Republic), and I received a positive feedback from both chairs (Prof. Rowlands & Assoc. Prof. Doyle-Baker), as well as other delegates. I listened to one of the top scientists presenting cutting edge research, made new friends, and had one of the best experiences in my life. Due to the importance of that event, I prepared a special video highlighting my road to the ECSS Congress. I also co-authored abstracts in another two conferences held in Bulgaria.

For a fourth year in a row I was selected for the FANS & FACS Schemes, which provide free access for National and County Sports People to sporting facilities in London. Thank you to Enfield Council and Fusion Lifestyle for that support, which helps me to train more often and better prepare for sporting events.

The height was recorded to the nearest 1 cm using a height measure, body mass was recorded to within an accuracy of 0.1 kg by using different electronic scales, and waist, arm, thigh and calf circumferencee were measured to the nearest 0.1 cm with the Lufkin W606PM tape measure. Skinfolds were measured by using the Lange Skinfold Caliper to the nearest 1mm. The body fat % was calculated by using the Jackson & Pollock's equations, and the skeletal muslce mass % was calculated by using the Lee et al.'s equations, which are commonly applied in research.
